Throughout the years I gained explicit experience in designing and implementing organisational systems, teaching and public speaking. 'To develop yourself, people and the world’ is not just yet another fancy motto, but a true idea that I live by and follow every day of my life.

Built a Team, an ART and implemented SAFe

Along with my Client we implemented SAFe methodology in one of Client’s business units and drastically improved its effectivity.
For the team
We created a long-term roadmap and managed the scope of the work. Apart from that we built and maintained series of guidelines for the Team including the most important one which – preparation and execution of PI Planning.
For the ART
I facilitated two product workshops which lead to full product development and initiated building Confluence space for our business unit. Along with the team we improved the quality of one of the product reviews for the whole unit.
For the Project
I re-kicked-off Scrum Master Community of Practice.

Developed 'Hybrid Agile Professional’ Course

Along with my Client we managed to create, test and implement to market an entire agile course for people who want to retrain
themselves into IT industry. We achieved that goal with full agile
approach. It required a lot of understanding of the client’s and market’s needs, healthy communication and patient education.
’Hybrid Agile Professional’ teaches agile from very basics and trains people regarding such topics as:
‧ mindset (e.g. iterative and incremental thinking)
‧ frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
‧ toolset (e.g. Jira, Confluence)

I set up the whole webpage InzynieriaSpoleczna.pl for one purpose only – collecting, presenting and popularizing all concepts, models, methods and tools that contribute to the healthy functioning of companies and organizations.
The main ambition of InzynieriaSpoleczna.pl is to be the first space in Polish Internet from wchich people aquire practical know-how on how to organize people, teams, companies and organizations.

Invented Tool for Building Organisational Systems
(Model of Dedicated Systems)
Model of Dedicated Systems is my own method for designing, building, implementing, maintaining, developing and automating organizational systems.
For owners and leaders, it is a compass that allows o confidently navigate the maze of dependencies between business problems, organizational processes, roles, structures, mechanisms, infrastructure and expected results.
If you have ever wondered how to organize your company and/or organization in such a way that it actually works, MDS is the answer to your question.
Drove Two Products at Once
(GFT Poland Sp. z o.o.)
My main responsibility was leading teams, products and projects using agile methodologies and constantly improving products’ value.
I worked on two projects simultaneously (both in Asia-Pacific unit).
Junior Banking
The first project required coordinating the work of an international team which goal was to create a prototype of a mobile application for
junior banking. The team consisted of people from Poland,
Singapore, India and Vietnam with Steering Committee stakeholders from all over the world (of which majority came from India and North Africa). I successfully managed to organise workflow and gather
indicated by client documentation in such complex environment.
Virtual Bank
The second project required preparing and managing onboarding
developers and managers throughout the Discovery Phase of creating a virtual bank. The direct Client came from the Middle East and ordered the work to Australian company which worked in classic
project management style. The main challenge was to find a common way to communicate and execute work. I helped to successfully build the foundations of such an understanding.
Improved SDK Delivery Process
(TomTom Polska Sp. z o.o.)
My main responsibility was leading two Scrum Teams in a way which would constantly improve their work and allow them to reach to their full potential. I was also responsible for developing Outcome Team and whole Product Unit as well as supporting organisation by leading its 'Agile Community of Practice’.
Software Development Kit Team (SDK Team)
The first team I worked with was responsible for SDK which allowed TomTom’s client to implement its software more efficiently. This team required to be built from scratch and transitioned to another version of the product. Our team was at the very end of the delivery chain in our department – this required us to create a delivery process that would coordinate the activities of many teams in an environment of many dependencies and high volatility. We managed to cut this
process from over 20 days to less than 1 day.
Software Development Team
The second team I worked with was a very conservative and not
a Scrum-enthusiasts team. Despite those obstacles we managed to drastically improve Product Backlog, day-to-day communication and cooperation using experimental thinking approach (Toyota Kata).
Networked and Split-up the Teams

My main responsibility was leading up to three Scrum Teams using agile methodologies and constantly improving their effectiveness and
communication. I also supported organisation by driving 'Innovation Project’ for interns along with Lodz University of Technology.
Feature Development Team
The first team I lead was a classic software development team.
Together we run series of networking sessions that helped the team to re-establish relations valuable from product’s point of view. Apart from that we successfully managed to onboard our client’s team to the product which required switching from Scrum to Kanban for
indicated period of time.
5G Feature Development Team
The second team was difficult to work with due to its size and attitude impacting POs and organisation. We successfully managed to split.

And what if I was able to see statistics of my improvement? And what if all of this was done in friently 1:1 atmosphere with gamification approach in the background?
Those were the quesitons I succesfully answered in my 'Basic English’ course which helped people in breaking through speaking barrier.

You are not 100% sure how agility should look like in your company? Here is what you need to know:
1. Execution of your Teams’ Agility needs to go hand-in-hand with Business Agility of the whole company.
You do not want your products to be great and not have any customers at the same time! As a Management you need to know what to do and as Teams you need to know how to do it. As a whole company you always need to know why to do those things in the first place.
2. Technical requirements for Agility are the key that opens the door to solid implementation of Agile.
If you do not have or not developing CI / CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) within your company then we have work to do…
3. You want to build an Organisational System.
You need automation, scalability and responsiveness. Do not get yourself fooled by fancy agile influencers with no concrete approach towards your business. Since the very beginning of implementing any organisational change, use it as an opportunity to add value to your organisational system. You can do it in agile way but always keep in mind that implementing agile for the sake of implementing agile is not the way. Instead I suggest using my proprietary method called Model of Dedicated Systems (ask me about it at in/damianborowskipl).

’Individuals and interactions over processes and tools’
For me this means professional organisational and business networking. Your company needs to be networked. Network is everything. Full stop.
’Working software over comprehensive documentation’
For me this means conceptual work which leads us directly to such ideas like Design Thinking, EventStorming and / or Impact Mapping.
’Customer collaboration over contract negotiation’
For me this means proper collaboration with Stakeholders, hence sales. You want your Product Owners and Teams to know how to sale. I was never a professional salesman, however I know exactly what to do when I get the lead and how to turn it into a prospect (and I am aware of how much of a difference good sales makes while working with Clients and Customers). I am opened to and enthusiastic about trainings from Sandler Selling System and / or Solution Selling if that would be required (I can provide direct phone contacts to Andrzej Twarowski and / or Robert Lipiński).
’Responding to change over following a plan’
For me this means implementing experimental thinking approach within the organisation (both in product and organisational areas). Let’s create a prototype and test it with End-Users as soon as possible. It does not have to be perfect and beautiful – it just needs to get us information.
